Dr. Simon Bernard's Qualifications
Dr Simon Bernard is a fully qualified and trained plastic cosmetic surgeon. He graduated with his medical degree (MBBS) from Melbourne University after 6 years with honours and obtained the Stirling prize in clinical surgery and several other final year prizes.
After completing basic general surgical training over a further 4 year period, he then trained in advanced plastic and reconstructive surgery for an additional 4 years through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons accredited training program (FRACS). He also has a MD doctorate of Medicine from the University of Melbourne for anatomical research into the blood supply of the torso.
He is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), registered practitioner with the United Kingdom medical board, and an international member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
He attends overseas meetings regularly each year to ensure he maintains his knowledge with the very latest in cosmetic and plastic surgery developments.
